Welcome to our FAQ page! Here, we’ve compiled a list of the most common questions we receive from our clients. From choosing your dishes to preparing for your event, and from payment details to our cancellation policy, we’ve got you covered. We will hold your date for you for 14 days are until we receive another enquiry for that date. We will always contact you before offering that date to someone else.

Whilst we have sample menus available online, which might be a perfect fit for you and your event, often clients like to mix and match menus and ask us for our advice as to what works with what. We can also host taster sessions at our premises so you can try the different dishes before you book.

Our recommendation is to have a look at some of our menus, thinking about what you might like and then get in touch. We can then go from there!

To confirm your booking we take a £500.00 deposit and, on completion of your taster (if you request one) and submission of a quote, a non- refundable a 25% payment is due, based on your estimated guest numbers.

Yes, Forkingout will refund any outstanding funds remaining on your account within 14 days of your wedding or event date.

We will send our final invoice is due a 14 days before your wedding date.

Absolutely! All dietary requirements will be catered for. If you collate your guests requirements, identify them and indicate where they will be seated, our chefs will adapt your menu choices to suit your guests requirements or provide an alternative dish where necessary and our front of house team will get them to the correct guests.

Our staff will be available throughout the time span of the event to provide food and drink service with a smile dependent on your requirements.

Yes, we are happy to chill all your table wine and arrival drinks within our refrigerated van. If you require any additional information we can bring our refrigerated trailer for a £300+VAT fee.

No, our team are the to help your day run smoothly. This includes laying of tables including place names, decoration and favours. Serving and chilling of arrival and table drinks as well as any advice we can give from our 20+ years experience.

For clarity our pricing includes:

  • Initial contact  and meetings
  • Preparation of a formal quotation
  • Menu tasting
  • Crockery, cutlery & glassware
  • Table linen and linen napkins
  • Set up on the day
  • All cooking and service equipment 
  • Produce
  • Event co-ordination both on the day and throughout the planning process
  • A dedicated chefs team
  • Trained and uniformed Forkingout waiting staff
  • Removal of catering rubbish and glass recycling

Yes we are happy to help provide chairs and tables our team of expert suppliers are happy to help

Our menus include everything needed, both before, during, at the event and afterwards. But exclude VAT unless stated.

Forking out offers tastings on all Wedding breakfasts and larger events we will always try to fit in with times and dates that suit you but Fridays and weekend are not usually available. Where every possible these are done in the off peak months so we can give you our undivided attention.

The taster lasts up to 2 hours and you are able to have up to 6 people. You will get to taste the complete menu choices and any wines you intend to purchase from us.

Should you decide not to go ahead with your booking there is a £300.00 +VAT charge for the taster.

Yes. Forkingout is happy to provide catering for entertainers, photographers, videographers, bands and musicians, child minders and any other supplier at events. These meals must be pre-ordered and will be charged for.

Although unlikely, bookings may need to be cancelled for a variety of reasons. We require written confirmation from the client to cancel their booking.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you have to cancel, we use the following sliding scale for cancellation. This is in line with the reasonable costs associated with planning such event:

• 25% deposit will be retained if you cancel before 9 months prior to the event date 

• 50% estimated total bill retained if you cancel within 9 months of the event date 

• 85% estimated total bill retained if you cancel within 2 weeks of the event date 

• 100% estimated total bill retained if you cancel within 1 week of the event date 

We strongly recommend that clients take out wedding insurance to protect themselves in the unlikely event that you need to cancel.
